muppet mania!!!
May 7, 2004
according to adam, muppet enthusiast & expert, there are only 3 movies one must watch in order to become muppet literate. they are:
* the muppet movie
* the great muppet caper
* muppet treasure island
so in order to become even more well versed in muppetness, we are having a muppet mania movie marathon tonight. [nice alliteration] …all 3 movies, back to back. i might even throw in an extra muppet movie.
[this picture is really a billboard, and i was lucky enough to spot it in
lubbock! if anyone knows the whereabouts, ill give you a special surprise!]
i just love kermit. what a cute little froggie. and he’s green just like me!! ohhhh…….
“It’s not easy bein’ green
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over ’cause you’re
Not standin’ out like flashy sparkles on the water
Or stars in the sky
But green is the color of spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like an ocean
Or important like a mountain
Or tall like a tree”
thank you, thank you. watch for my next hit single “the rainbow connection” — coming to a store near you! okay, enough of that, i have to go get ready for some muppet mayhem & madness! [more alliteration...will it ever end?]
wocka wocka wocka!!

i agree…the muppets are great! i was an avid muppet viewer as a child, but sadly, i haven’t been a part of any sort of muppet mania since then:(
now that i have three weeks of free time before camp, i may check these 3 movies out!

i definitely added “Carribean Amphibian” to the mix the other night, in honor of Adam. i’m a big Kermit fan, too.

we had “muppets take manhattan” here last night, but “big bird goes to china” was more interesting. according to adam, “MTM” is not one of the better ones–[**disclaimer** - i have seen all of these before last night, but i was in need of refreshment]
i think that qualifies him to make the executive decision on which muppet movies we should watch.
just recently we watched “kermit: the swamp years”–he’s definitely a fan. he knew the name of the friggin alligator [arnie] for pete’s sake!

I can’t believe y’all had Big Bird Goes to China! I checked that out from the public library nearly every week when I was little! If you ever watch it again, let me know.
