doin’ 55 in a 54
October 11, 2004
okay, more like 27 in a 20, according to the bike cop, minus the bike, who pulled me over the other night on campus. and by “pulled over” i mean “flashlighted” me over because that’s how he got my attention on the side of the road.
apparently this little guy had nothing better to do than hide in the bushes near the flint & 19th street exit. so at midnight, he stepped out of the bushes with radar detector in hand, and motioned for me to pull over.
jill and i sat in disbelief as he looked through my windows with his flashlight & then proceeded to tell me that i needed to slow it down. sitting here now i still have a hard believing i actually got pulled over by a bike cop. without. his. bike.
and since im rollin’ with vehicular stories, i almost got hit by a car yesterday. i was crossing a street on campus, using the crosswalk, and i noticed a car speeding toward me. i stopped in the middle, and as the car rushed past, i realized the driver of the car was my history professor from last fall. the same one who has yet to receive the 2 papers i got an extension for….do de do….last december. that’s right. going on 1 year now.
school beats me down.

The bike cop should have given you the ticket. That’s a more funny story.

yes, it was “Blaine and Antoine” (Damon and Keenan Ivory Wayans) on In Living Color, in their “Men on Vacation” skit, which is hilarious.

HAHAHA I have only heard of the legendary bike cops… o wait, one started yelling at a biker who almost ran over me on the sidewalk while He ( the bike cop) was riding on the wrong side of the street not looking where he was going and yelling loudly. But i didn’t know they were allowed to distribute tickets. I think it’s a hoax
