chillin’ out, maxin’, and relaxin’ all cool

that was the theme for this past weekend. kristen came to town for her fall break weekend. she was here from thursday to tuesday afternoon, and it was awesome!

as usual, her visit brought tons of laughter and quite a few crazy moments. we spent the majority of the weekend watching movies [somewhere around 10 movies, i think] and painting [i drew a paint-by-number sunflowers by van gogh for the 2 of us to work on. the finished masterpieces are now hanging proudly on my wall. its great.].

here’s a quick recap of things/quotes that made fall break ‘04:

*eating at taco bueno and making ridiculous orders… “tell me about it!”
*shopping at the south plains mall for a combined 6 hours in 2 days, but coming out with totally cute outfits.
*witnessing an endangered species of desert tortoise hatch. how cupe!
*feeding prairie dogs some bread–kristen’s got quite the arm on her. my favorite part of this excursion was the chipmunk being chased by the p.d. “you snooze, you lose”
*having a nice lunch at abuelo’s mixed with dirty looks from the hostesses & an awkward waiter who was really attentive to our table. thanks, tanner!
*searching for a 24 hr copy shop. we failed.

hahaha…oh man. i know kristen and i are the only ones who truly appreciate these. maybe that’s what makes them so funny. *whew*
